Markets of Greenwood is located in a historical landmark once known to Greenwood residents as the Self Greenwood Mills Compound Building.
The owners, Mr and Mrs Berman, are known to buy and restore historical landmarks . They feel that restoring what some would believe to be a useless building into a piece of real estate that would benefit the community and keep those from destroying history . Many people tear down old dwellings replacing them with metal structures. This is not the goal of the owners.
Restoring this building is a big task for the owners but by doing so they have made it home to local merchants and craftsman from the surrounding areas of South Carolina. They have future plans for growth and expansion inside the market area.
